ASHLEY BRANER
For WV House of Delegates, District 90
Fighting For West Virginia
My children have told me time and time again that they do not want to stay in West Virginia because there is nothing here for them. That is ultimately the reason I made the decision to run for office.
I’m proud to be from West Virginia. But our state is failing its people. We deserve representation that actually represents the citizens. I am a working-class West Virginian, born and raised in District 90, and I see firsthand every single day what it is like to live in this state. It is time to bring the working class to Charleston.
WHY I’M FIGHTING
WHAT I’LL FIGHT FOR
Affordability
The people deserve to survive. Not just survive but to live comfortably. The cost of utilities is on a constant rise and we are not getting answers. That has to change.
Education Reform
Our educators are underpaid and we cannot keep them in this state because of it. I will fight for better pay and better schools for every child in West Virginia.
Energy Independence & Citizens’ Rights
West Virginia House Bill 2014 was signed into law without the consent of the people. It opens the door for massive AI data centers to come into our state, consume our power, and leave us with higher utility bills and less say over our own resources. And now we are looking at exporting our energy to other states while West Virginians struggle to keep the lights on.
This is not freedom. Our power should work for our people first. I will fight to repeal HB2014, oppose energy deals that prioritize out-of-state interests over our communities, and restore the transparency and voice that was taken from us.
